Saturday, December 30th, 2006Whatever talent this man has, it’s evident in this song/video.
Asisted by the lovely electro stylings of Evan Oremland.
Can’t go wrong with neon.
Thanks to Razzle, for the tip.

Found these guys a while back, almost forgot about them due to a lack of frequent updates, but they seem to be back strong for the moment. Lots of good techno beats are available for the download.
Take some, be fat and happy.
If you’re from Canada, they do shows as well it seems.
mmm hmmm.
[Update: Check out the myspace for more frequent updates]

The yet to be released second full length album from LCD Soundsystem, Sound of Silver, has been leaked. I’ve heard it, and what I have heard is quite good. I’m not immediately enthralled, but I have a feeling it will be a record that grows on you.
Since moving to Brooklyn, I’ve had the opportunity to see James and the DFA crew get their DJ on at clubs around the city. I’ve always enjoyed them, even though you tend to hear many of the same favorite tracks, the guys really know what they are doing and have an obviously good time doing it.
To some extent, it actually upsets me that this new album was produced, with James on his European tour to promote it, I will be seeing that much less of DFA.
But, life must go on, and you must all check out this new album. Stop by LCD’s myspacer and let them know what you think. And if you enjoy it, please buy it.
[I will throw a track up on here, soon as the album is officially released]

I just came across Blazing Lazer today as I was looking around myspace for musical brooklyn locals. Very good things. Great design coming from Harsh Patel Not sure what Blazing Lazer is exactly, my guess is a one man music producer based in Brooklyn, not sure if he’s done any formal albums, but I shall find out more info.
Wish I had an mp3! But there is enough to make you want more at his myspacer.
Looks like the fine folks at Halcyon are starting a new party series over on the Gowanus. The pre-launch event is tonight. This could prove to be an interesting year ahead for entertainment in the neighborhood.

Although I have already posted this mix, I felt it was worth an re-post. Partly because it is newly available on the ABL:Radio blog, and because it has some sparkling new album art, designed by yours truly.
